Hello! I’m Mareen. I’ve long loved travel and the thrill of being on the road. As a child, I toured Europe with my family in an old Mercedes. As a young adult, I backpacked through Asia.

After having kids, however, I started going on all-inclusive holidays; I fell out of touch with my sense of adventure; and knew I needed to reconnect with my inner XXplora.

I’ve met countless women who share this story. Some are mothers; others, busy professionals. All are driven to find purpose, passion and meaning in life. For all of you who seeking more, I created XXplora. I understand you. I am you. But I don’t only have empathy, I also have the expertise and the credentials to create life-changing journeys.

I have decades of professional experience in road travel, event management and hospitality. I speak English, Mandarin and German. I have personally explored every destination I run trips in and have strong ties with local operators. I am well connected and well respected in Asia, and have been featured in leading travel magazines.

I know how to balance adventure and luxury; structure and freedom. I am dedicated to breaking through barriers, to unearthing authentic local experiences, and to empowering women through self-driving adventures.
